From 2019 to 2023, God called me to homeless ministry in Allen and Auglaize counties in Ohio. The ministry consisted of me and another ministry going to homeless camps, sitting with the people, talking with them to determine what their long-term goals were and if they wanted to get off the streets, work with local agencies and organizations to help the person become a productive member of society.
For those who didn’t want to get off the streets, we continued to provide basic necessities for life.
Success rate was about 1.5 to 2.0% of the people we encountered made the decision to get off the street.
